Nigerian Army Kills Boko Haram Terrorists

(Prensa Latina) The Nigerian army has killed 30 members of the Boko
Haram terrorist group in fighting in the northeast state of Borno,
according to an official in the town of Gwoza.
The head of the district, Saeed Salisu Sambo, said that the guerrillas detonated an improvised explosive device and then engaged fire with the military.
Salisu Sambo added that the terrorists had attempted to ambush a military convoy traveling to Maiduguri, the state's main city.
The state of Borno is identified as a scene of recent clashes with the fundamentalist group.
Nigerian authorities have launched several operations to eliminate the threat of the terrorist group, who wishes to impose sharia law in that country.
